About Autism Help At HomeTo this intervention I bring over 20 years experience working with children in the capacity of teacher, specialized caregiver, special needs cook, and nutritional guide. I am also a self-trained professional chef and personal chef, having cooked in homes and restaurants in New York, London and California. I have worked closely with some of the most outstanding biomedical doctors in the New York area and have received and utilized home based training in the Princeton Child Development Institute model of ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis). I am familiar with the issues involved in high-profile families and must remain in accordance with HIPAA law. "This approach, focused on biomedicine, is most effective when someone serves as case worker and communicates clearly across all treatments ensuring that diet supports gut function, that gut function supports supplementation, that biochemistry supports neurotransmission and cognitive function which in turn supports neuro and behavioral therapies." Leslie Embersits Director, Mindd Foundation During my working journey through the world of autism I have been successful in eliminating the child's physical suffering by recognizing symptoms and responding with appropriate dietary/supplemental changes as well as implementing the most effective choice of corrective therapies where needed. I am innovative in my cooking and effective in helping the child to eat. My cuisine is flavor-balanced, savory and fresh, and utilizes a creative use of alternatives. It tastes real to the adult and trustworthy to the child, and is incredibly yummy. I am based in Manhattan, NYC and my focus currently is on families in the New York area. My commitment to positively impact the life of the ASD child utilizes my culinary and nutritional background specific to autism spectrum gut/brain issues. I bring a unique understanding of root causes of many behavioral issues and the resultant needs of that child. "We all must share what we know so that all children on the spectrum and their families may harvest the life-bringing energies of hope." Julie Matthews, Nourishing Hope
