![]() To this program, Kathleen brings over 20 years experience working with children and parents in the capacity of teacher, specialized caregiver and special diets cook. She is a Certified Holistic Health Counselor and Nutrition Consultant and holds a degree in Natural Health Sciences. She is a Board Certified and Accredited Member of The American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP), with affiliations to The State University Of New York (SUNY). Kathleen currently serves on the Board of National Autism Association New York Metro Chapter and co-chairs its Parent Mentoring Committee. She regularly attends Autism One and DAN (Defeat Autism Now) conferences. She is also a trained professional chef and personal chef, having cooked in homes and restaurants in New York, London and California. Kathleen is a certified level 1 and level 2 Reiki practitioner, and a nutritional interventionist for families of children with autism and ADHD. She is experienced and knowledgeable about a wide range of healing modalities used in integrative medicine today. ![]() Kathleen speaks and presents to parent groups and organizations in New York City and Westchester on food related issues and in addition to private home services, provides helpful workshops, events and classes. She has worked closely with some of the most outstanding biomedical doctors and holistic practitioners in the New York area and has received and utilized home based training in the Princeton Child Development Institute model of ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis). She is familiar with the issues involved in high-profile families and works in accordance with HIPAA law. ;This approach, focused on biomedicine, is most effective when someone serves as case worker and communicates clearly across all treatments ensuring that diet supports gut function, that gut function supports supplementation, that biochemistry supports neurotransmission and cognitive function which in turn supports neuro and behavioral therapies." She brings a unique understanding of root causes of many behavioral issues and the resultant needs of that child. She is based in Manhattan, New York City.
